When you sign in we set a single cookie holding a random session identifier. It contains no personal information — the identifier is meaningless on its own and is matched to your session on our server.

Because the only cookie we set is strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for, we do not show a cookie consent banner. Under the EU and UK ePrivacy rules, consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary — analytics and advertising being the usual examples — and this site sets none of those. A banner asking permission for a cookie that is exempt would be asking for something we do not need, so we do not ask.
Cloudflare, which serves and protects this site, may set its own cookies to tell real visitors from automated traffic. Those are security cookies and are also treated as strictly necessary. If we ever add analytics, we will ask for consent first and this page will say so before it happens.
Course modules keep a copy of your progress in your browser so they work if your connection drops. This is not a cookie and is not sent to us automatically. Clearing your browser data removes it; your progress saved to your account is unaffected.
If you go through checkout, Stripe sets its own cookies on its own pages to process payment and prevent fraud. Those are governed by Stripe's privacy policy. Cloudflare may set a cookie to keep the site secure and available.
Adding analytics or advertising would change this policy and may require a consent banner. We will update this page before doing so, not after.
